Description

For rifles that demand a blended, permanent interface, this is the brake. The Snowflake Gunsmith Turndown is supplied as a blank that your smith times to the barrel shoulder and turns to the exact contour—no collars, no shims, just a clean transition that looks like it grew there. We machine a 0.100″ chamfer around each port so the OD can be safely reduced to the next size during contouring. A 3/8″ hex is cut into the face for straightforward torque application without marring. Choose stainless steel for durability and heat tolerance or titanium to keep weight out of the nose of a mountain rifle. Either way, you get controlled gas, less jump, and a sight picture that stays honest.
